Q: I would like to use the jetty facility as part of my function – do I have to make the arrangements for the boat or will Leonda take care of it?
A: Our staff at Leonda will gladly take care of the arrangements for you. Alternatively, if you prefer to make arrangements of your own, you are most welcome to.

Q: How long is the travel time to Leonda via tram and/or train from the city?
A: Not including the waiting time for transport, travelling to Leonda by tram would take approximately 15 minutes.

Q: How long does it take to get to Leonda if driving by car from the city?
A: Depending on traffic conditions, we estimate that it would take approximately 10 minutes.

Q: Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes, Leonda By The Yarra is a wheelchair-friendly function venue.

Q: Are there separately allocated parking spaces for guests of the Ballroom and Garden Room?
A: With over 150 parking spaces, the parking at Leonda is usually sufficient for both rooms.

Q: If we have a large attendance and the Leonda car park is full, are there alternate places I may park nearby?
A: Yes there is – the church across the road, Yarra Boulevard and Power Street.

Q: There are specific dietary requirements for my event. Do you cater for that?
A: Yes we do. Simply make the request to our event coordinator when discussing/planning your event and we will make the necessary arrangements.

Q: My organisation cares about the environment and is mindful about sustainability and carbon footprint. Thus, the green factor affects our choice of function venue. What ‘green’ measures does Leonda take to do their part for the environment?
A: Leonda By The Yarra is committed to an eco-friendly and sustainable future – you may view our plans and procedures in our green policy.

Q: Is there a minimum number of guests I must cater for in order to book a package for the Garden Room and/or Ballroom?
A: Yes there is. However, this figure depends on a number of variables such as the type of function, time of year, day of week, etc.
Please feel free to contact our friendly sales staff for further clarification regarding this matter.

Q: What types of corporate events does Leonda By The Yarra host?
A: We host an array of corporate events including but not limited to conferences, seminars, AGMs, gala dinners, workshops, corporate breakfasts, breakfast seminars, luncheons. presentations, awards nights, product launches, exhibitions and trade shows.
If the event you would like to host does not appear in the above list, please feel free to contact our friendly sales staff so we can assist you with further enquiries regarding your event.

Q: The function that I would like to host is not listed amongst your list of functions – does your venue cater to functions other than those listed on the website?
A: Our rooms are versatile and our functions/events and capabilities are not limited to those listed on the site. Please get in touch with us and our event coordinator would be able to discuss your needs in depth and come up with a tailored package to suit your requirements.

Q: There is a specific idea for a theme I have in mind that no one has probably done before – will you be able to cater for it?
A: At Leonda, we are highly experienced in themeing and have an abundance of resources to make it happen – just bring your idea to the table and we will work closely with you to achieve your ‘dream theme’!

Q: I require a range of IT equipment in order to run my workshop – are you able to provide the necessary setup for that?
A: Through our partnering AV company, we will be able to meet your technical requirements and set up the room for your workshop.

Q: What are the setups and layouts available for my event?
A: We have layouts such as banquet, theatre, classroom and cabaret to suit various events. Also, there are options for stages and dance floors to suit your event needs. Please refer to the floorplans on event-specific pages to browse the setups available or contact us for further information.

Q: What are the dimensions of the function rooms?
A: Our larger function room, the Ballroom is approximately 26m by 20m while the intimate Garden Room is approximately 16 m by 11m.

Q: I require internet connection for my corporate event. Is it available?
A: Yes. Internet connection is available via our complimentary wireless internet.

Q: I require accommodation for my event. Does Leonda have accommodation on site?
A: Unfortunately we do not have accommodation on site. The closest hotel is the Amora Hotel - only 1.5km away (a few minutes by car).
